We have officially entered a new era in the age of COVID-19 with the approval and administration of new antiviral COVID-19 treatments, particularly Merck's Molnupiravir and Pfizer's Paxlovid, meant to treat people who have tested positive for COVID-19, but have not yet been hospitalized.
These antiviral treatments will be the key to us moving forward in COVID world for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people fighting COVID infection, as they will reduce risk of severe, life-threatening disease by stopping the virus in its tracks.
