Who We Serve

Through innovative models of intervention, VIDC particularly seeks to engage vulnerable patients in health care within a multidisciplinary model. We provide:

  • Peer-friendly education about disease.

  • Novel antiviral medications (often available only within research protocols).

  • Comprehensive support during and after treatment.

We are currently providing Community Pop-up Clinics in Vancouver's Downtown East Side and interior areas including New Westminster, Chilliwack, and Abbotsford.

VIDC is also working in Kelowna via telehealth and at local clinics.

Our Approach

How We Serve

Four legged chair

VIDC is a welcoming space where vulnerable individuals can find care through custom developed treatment plans. Our work is more than just testing or treating - it's about caring for the most vulnerable among us.

Operating under the "Four-Legged Chair" model that the VIDC team has developed, we address complex and unique patient needs under one roof, including:

  • Addiction-related needs

  • Financial needs

  • Psychiatric / psychological needs

  • Social needs

Through Community Outreach Programs such as our weekly Community Pop-up Clinics (CPCs) and the continuous development of HIV and HCV treatments through research, we work to provide low barriers to care and incentivization for long term engagement.
